EMS Foot Massager Mat - Electric Foot Massager for Tired Feet
Stand on it. Sit down. Ten minutes later your feet remember they're feet.
Kick your shoes off, put your bare feet on the two grey footprints, and press plus. Gentle pulses spread from your heels to your toes and up into your calves – a rolling tap, then a squeeze, then a stroking rhythm – and the day's standing, walking and queueing starts to drain out. It's the size of a placemat, weighs less than a bar of soap, and folds into a drawer when you're done.
How it works
EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) sends low-frequency pulses through the conductive footprints into the small muscles of your feet and, because those muscles run up into your lower leg, your ankles, Achilles and calves too. The muscles contract and release in rhythm – the "workout while you sit" effect – and afterwards your feet feel lighter and looser. There are no rollers, no motors and no noise; the whole mat is soft.
What you get
6 modes. Tapping, kneading, stroking, pulsing and two combination programmes. Press M to cycle; the display tells you which one you're on.
15 intensity levels. Level 1 is a tickle. Level 5 is a pleasant tingle. Level 15 is a proper calf workout. Everyone finds their own number.
3D moulded footprints. The raised heel, arch and toe pads follow the shape of your foot so the whole sole makes contact – not just the bits that happen to touch a flat pad.
Detachable controller. Snaps onto the mat with two press-studs. Big buttons, clear number display, rechargeable – no coin batteries to hunt for.
Rechargeable. 150 mAh battery, about 3 hours to charge, 4–6 hours of use – a couple of weeks of daily sessions. Charges via USB (micro-USB cable included).
Auto-off. Sessions end themselves after 15 minutes [confirm], so you can't overdo it in front of the telly.
Wipe-clean and foldable. Soft polyurethane, non-slip base. Wipe with a damp cloth, fold it in half, drop it in a bag. 125 g.
Who it's for
Anyone whose feet are done by 6pm: nurses, teachers, retail and hospitality staff, hairdressers, warehouse and delivery workers, tradespeople. Runners and walkers with tight calves. People who stand at a desk all day, and people who sit at one and wish they'd moved more. And a properly good present for a parent or grandparent who's always saying their feet ache.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the mat everyone's using on TikTok?
Same idea, same category. This one has 3D moulded footprints rather than a flat pad, a rechargeable controller rather than a coin cell, and it costs a good deal less than the brand you've seen advertised.
Does it hurt?
Not at sensible levels. It's a tingle that turns into a rhythmic tap. If it feels prickly, the footprints are probably dry; if it's too strong, turn it down.
Will it help my neuropathy / plantar fasciitis / swollen ankles?
It's a comfort product for tired, tight feet and calves, not a treatment for a diagnosed condition. If you have neuropathy, plantar fasciitis, swelling or ongoing foot pain, talk to your GP or a podiatrist before using it.
How is it different from your EMS slippers?
Same technology, different format. The slippers you wear; the mat you stand or rest your feet on. The mat covers more of the calf; the slippers are easier to keep on while you potter.
Can I use it through tights?
No – it needs skin contact.
